Moscow Exchange will launch perpetual futures linked to Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and TRON on September 22, expanding its crypto derivatives offering for qualified investors. The new contracts will track Moscow Exchange crypto indexes rather than provide direct ownership of the digital assets. The exchange announced the launch on September 16. According to the official notice, Moscow Exchange will offer the products as cash-settled one-day futures with automatic rollover. The exchange will allow only qualified investors to trade them.

Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and TRON Join MOEX Futures
The new futures will track the Moscow Exchange indexes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and TRON. The Bitcoin contract will trade under the code BTCUSDF and follow the MOEX Bitcoin Index, or MOEXBTC. ETHUSDF will track Ether, while SOLUSDF will follow Solana. XRPUSDF and TRXUSDF will track XRP and TRON, respectively.
Although the contracts will be quoted in U.S. dollars based on the value of their underlying indexes, settlement will take place in Russian rubles. These products are also cash-settled, which means investors will not receive Bitcoin, Ether or the other cryptocurrencies when a contract settles. Instead, gains and losses are handled through the exchange’s settlement system.
Moscow Exchange said the perpetual structure gives professional market participants another way to gain exposure to movements in cryptocurrency prices without directly holding the underlying assets. Maria Patrikeeva, managing director of the Moscow Exchange derivatives market, said demand for crypto-linked derivatives has been growing.
Patrikeeva stated:
“The launch of perpetual futures on digital currencies is an important stage in the development of the Russian derivatives market. We see strong demand from investors for derivative financial instruments linked to digital assets.”
She added that providing access through Russia’s legal framework allows investors to use Moscow Exchange’s existing trading and settlement infrastructure.
Crypto Derivatives Trading Has Already Grown on MOEX
Moscow Exchange has already recorded strong activity in its digital asset futures market. According to Patrikeeva, more than 72,000 qualified investors have traded crypto-related futures on the exchange since it introduced the first contracts last summer. Trading volume has now surpassed 600 billion Russian rubles. The exchange also shared details about the funding calculations for the new perpetual futures. It set the K1 parameter at 0% and the K2 parameter at 0.35%.
The five crypto products will join Moscow Exchange’s broader perpetual futures market. The exchange currently offers 31 perpetual contracts linked to assets including currency pairs, Moscow Exchange indexes, government bonds, precious metals and Russian and foreign securities. Its wider derivatives market also includes more than 180 futures contracts and related options covering equities, currencies, commodities, metals, oil, gas and interest rates.
