Galaxy Digital Launches GalaxyOne Platform Offering Crypto, Stocks, and High-Yield Cash Accounts

Galaxy Digital, led by Michael Novogratz, has introduced GalaxyOne for everyday investors. It competes with Kraken and Robinhood, letting people trade crypto and stocks. GalaxyOne has a mobile app that makes investing easy and convenient. It offers features to help U.S. investors grow their money. At launch, U.S. users who complete KYC verification can purchase, store, and transfer Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Paxos Gold.

GalaxyOne Offers High-Yield Cash and Secure Trading

GalaxyOne offers a cash account earning 4% interest and secure crypto trading and storage. Users can also trade U.S. stocks and ETFs without paying commissions. It also has Galaxy Premium Yield, a high-income investment offering 8% APY. It is available only to accredited U.S. investors who meet income or net worth rules. The yield comes from Galaxy’s institutional lending business. Unlike the 4% cash account, this product is not FDIC insured.

“We’ve spent years building institutional-quality infrastructure to serve the world’s most sophisticated investors. Now, we’re extending that edge to individuals,” Novogratz said. GalaxyOne began as Fierce, a finance super-app that Galaxy acquired in December $12.5 million, as stated in the company’s quarterly report. Rob Cornish, who led Fierce as CEO, now serves as Galaxy’s CTO. The original Fierce development team is continuing its work on GalaxyOne, helping to shape the platform for individual investors.

GalaxyOne Brings Crypto, Stocks, and Investment Options to Investors

According to Michael Novogratz, GalaxyOne is part of Galaxy’s goal to become a “full spectrum financial services provider.” The platform aims to offer regulated, easy-to-use products for all types of investors, which helps them manage both digital and traditional assets. The GalaxyOne app is now on iOS and Android. It has four main products: GalaxyOne Cash, GalaxyOne Crypto, Galaxy Premium Yield, and GalaxyOne Brokerage. 

The platform also gives options for retirement accounts and lets users trade fractional shares. People can trade over 2,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs without paying commissions. With direct USD support, users can buy, trade, and hold major cryptocurrencies easily. The stock lending feature allows users to lend eligible stocks, creating more ways to earn returns and generate passive income.

GalaxyOne is arriving as more people look for ways to earn income from their investments, especially in crypto. Patrick Collison, CEO of Stripe, noted that as yield-paying stablecoins grow, banks may need to offer better returns to keep up. Zac Prince, GalaxyOne director and Galaxy managing director, said investors now expect more from technology. They want higher yields, easy access on one platform, and chances to invest beyond traditional markets.
