Animecoin Announces ANIME Token Launch with Community-Centric Vision

Animecoin has disclosed its plans to issue its native token, ANIME, by January 2025. The Animecoin Foundation, supported by Arbitrum and the Azuki NFT brand, will control the release of the token. The maximum amount of ANIME tokens available is 10 billion and the current circulating supply is 7.69 billion tokens. The distribution approach focuses on the community with certain percentages allocated for certain groups of people. They include the Azuki NFT community, the AnimeDAO projects, and other communities.

Community Allocation Highlights

In addition, 37.5% of the ANIME tokens are allocated to the Azuki NFT community as a reward for their early support. Another 13% will go to support community growing initiatives overseen by AnimeDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization. These allocations aim to encourage more community-based projects and increase participation.

The Animecoin Foundation will hold 24.44% of the tokens to continue the ecosystem growth through grant programs and partnerships with the industry. Furthermore, Animecoin will allocate 2% of the tokens to partners’ communities, like Hyperliquid and Kaito, to amplify its brand and impact.

In recognition of their contributions, Azuki will distribute 15.62% of the overall token supply to advisers, contractors, and staff. With vesting terms to release tokens over three years, the Azuki company will hold 7.44% ownership with a one-year cliff on most of them.
