Following the broad setback, Bitcoin dropped to the $88k level, its lowest point in months, while altcoins suffered major losses. Amidst this uncertainty, here is a look at the best altcoins to invest in today, such as Cardano, Solana, and Story Protocol.

1. Cardano (ADA)

After consolidating around $0.80 over the past few days, ADA has dropped to the $0.65 region following the broad market decline. ADA is trading at $0.635 at press time, down by 13% in the past 24 hours. The altcoin has declined to 14% and 33% on the weekly and monthly charts, respectively. Its market cap and trading volume stand at $23.2B and $1.21B, respectively. 

The U.S. SEC has acknowledged NYSE Arca’s proposal to list shares of the Grayscale Cardano Trust. This marks the start of a regulatory review process set to conclude by August 2025. Prediction markets like Polymarket show a 64% chance of approval.

This development has fueled ADA’s momentum, positioning it among the best altcoins to invest in. The proposed ETF aims to offer regulated exposure to ADA. Investors would trade shares representing proportional ADA holdings without owning the cryptocurrency directly.

2. Solana (SOL)

Solana has experienced a notable decline recently, dropping by 47% in the past 30 days. At press time, SOL is trading at $136, recording a decline of 15% and 20% on the daily and monthly charts. Its market cap has dropped by over 40% in the past 30 days, reflecting a sharp downturn in investor sentiment. However, the trading volume has surged by 200% to $9.95B, indicating an increased market activity. 

Some traders have been expressing concerns as Solana slips downwards, but Matthew Dixon is predicting a bullish trend in the near future. He describes the downtrend as short tentatively and looks for the start of an upside reversal. Dixon shows a stochastic pattern of A = C for Solana where there is a double correction pattern highlighted on the price movement. The significant Fibonacci retracement levels include $133.80 and $144.24 crucial in defining Solana’s future price movements.

3. Story Protocol (IP)

Story Protocol has surged by 25%, making it the top-performing asset of the day. At press time, IP is trading at $4.9, elevating the weekly and monthly gain to 136% and 70%, respectively. The bullish momentum has pushed the market cap and trading volume to $1.22B and $808B, respectively.

The IP token has surged massively today while the broad market is declining. Kenny Powerz on X has stated that the cryptocurrency has shown resilience even as the market remains a struggle. The project’s goal is to change the current IP system and make it stand among the best altcoins to invest in. 

While the market is nuking, @StoryProtocol is bucking the trend. $IP is up 21% on the day, and for good reason.
