VanEck, an asset management firm, forecasts Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL) will achieve new all-time highs in 2025. In a blog post from December 13, the firm predicted that the crypto bull market will reach a “medium-term peak” during the first quarter of next year. Afterward, a period of consolidation will occur, and then the prices will rise to new all-time highs.

VanEck Predicts a $180K Price Target for Bitcoin

VanEck predicts Bitcoin will reach $180,000 in 2025, fueled by a maturing market and increased institutional demand. Donald Trump’s return to the presidency has boosted the crypto market. His pro-crypto leader appointments shift policies away from restrictions and recognize Bitcoin as a strategic asset. This includes efforts to stop de-banking crypto companies and create a friendlier regulatory environment.

The fund manager also anticipates the formation of a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve. This could take place at the federal level or through state efforts in Pennsylvania, Florida, or Texas. Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs) and more companies buying Bitcoin will help its price grow. By 2025, companies are expected to own over 1.1 million BTC, more than what Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, holds.

VanEck warns of volatility next year, predicting a 30% drop in summer. The firm expects a recovery later in the year. It sees high funding rates and falling Bitcoin dominance as signs of possible market corrections.

VanEck Forecasts Ethereum to Hit $6K, Solana to Exceed $500, and SUI to Top $10

The crypto firm expects Ethereum to reach over $6,000 by 2025. This is due to its growing Layer-2 ecosystem and blob space. VanEck predicts blob space will make over $1 billion in fees. Blob space helps with scaling and storing data. Adding staking to Ethereum ETPs will attract more institutions.

VanEck said:

“With new SEC leadership, multiple new spot crypto ETPs will be approved. Ethereum ETPs will include staking, while both Ethereum and Bitcoin ETPs will allow in-kind transactions and redemptions.”

SOL is expected to trade above $500. Its scalability and growth in DeFi and NFTs drive this rise. VanEck believes Solana’s focus on fast, low-cost transactions will fuel its growth. VanEck also expects SUI to surpass $10 during the same period.

Stablecoins and AI Agents Driving Blockchain Transformation

Stablecoins will play a growing role in global commerce, with daily volumes reaching $300 billion by 2025. VanEck credits this growth to the increasing adoption by prominent tech firms and payment networks. Cross-border remittance markets, like U.S.-Mexico transfers, will see stablecoin usage increase fivefold.

VanEck’s report highlights the potential of AI agents in blockchain. It is anticipated that more than one million AI agents will be active on-chain by 2025. They will automate tasks in DeFi, gaming, and social media.
