Highlights:
- Trump-linked wallets moved 2.62 million TRUMP tokens worth about $6.21 million to the crypto exchange OKX.

The team linked to the Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin has moved 2.62 million TRUMP tokens worth about $6.21 million to crypto exchange OKX. The transfer comes after a sharp rise in TRUMP’s price over the past week and renewed attention around Donald Trump’s crypto activities.
On August 23, blockchain tracker Lookonchain reported that the Trump team first transferred 2.62 million TRUMP from a team-linked wallet. The same tokens were then deposited into OKX.

The latest transaction follows roughly four weeks without a similar major movement reported from the team. On July 25, Lookonchain tracked another transfer of 10.84 million TRUMP worth about $16.91 million. At the time, the tracker said those tokens were likely headed toward BitGo and then exchanges.
Sending tokens to an exchange can attract market attention because exchanges provide a place where assets can be traded. However, an exchange deposit alone does not confirm that the tokens have been sold.
TRUMP Meme Coin Jumps Sharply Over the Past Week
The latest transfer comes after a strong week for the Trump meme coin. TRUMP traded around $1.40 on August 17 before climbing sharply over the following days. CoinMarketCap data shows TRUMP has gained about 79% over the past seven days.
Part of the early move came as the wider crypto market strengthened. President Donald Trump hosted crypto executives at the White House on August 19 and called on Congress to move forward with the CLARITY Act, a major U.S. crypto market structure bill. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies also rallied strongly during the week.
TRUMP received another major boost on August 22 as social media rumors claimed Donald Trump was preparing to launch a new cryptocurrency. The claim spread quickly and coincided with a sharp rise in Trump-linked meme coins. However, Eric Trump later rejected the report. In an August 22 X post, he called the claim “absolutely not true” and said, “No one is launching any kind of coin.” He also warned that anyone suggesting otherwise was promoting a fraud.
What a joke… This is absolutely not true. No one is launching any kind of coin. If anyone is suggesting otherwise, it’s a fraud. https://t.co/H0nWXNL8rn

TRUMP Remains Far Below Its All-Time High
TRUMP was trading near $2.48 at the time of writing, down about 7% over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. Meanwhile, its 24-hour trading volume had dropped to about $1.57 billion. Despite its recent weekly rally, TRUMP remains far below its record high. The token reached an all-time high of $75.35 on January 19 last year. At its current price of $2.48, TRUMP is still about 96.71% below that peak.

The recent price action shows how quickly sentiment around Trump-related crypto news can move the token. Traders will now be watching the OKX deposit closely, especially after TRUMP’s strong weekly rebound and the unusually high trading activity seen over the weekend.
