Sonic Labs Integrates Chainlink CCIP for Cross-Chain Functionality

Highlights:

  • The integration allows developers to build out decentralized applications that have cross-chain support.
  • Chainlink CCIP facilitates interoperability between blockchains in a secure way for tokens and data.
  • Sonic DeFAI Hackathon will focus on AI agents for blockchain in the four weeks of competition.

Sonic Labs has officially integrated Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) into its mainnet. This integration allows developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) with cross-chain support. It also facilitates secure token trading, message passing, and Sonic’s integration with other blockchains.

Sonic Labs launches Chainlink CCIP on mainnet

Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom) announced on its official blog that Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is now live on its mainnet. This allows developers to build secure applications that facilitate token…

Sonic Labs integrates Chainlink CCIP to allow developers to run cross-chain function calls and token sends in a scalable and efficient manner. It responds to the need for trusted multi-chain solutions. It empowers the integration of different blockchain networks for seamless and secure interactions. Furthermore, it gives developers the capability to build high-performance DeFi applications.

Chainlink CCIP enables developers to create solutions for running multi-chain operations. The protocol facilitates secure interoperability between blockchains for tokens and data, making the development ecosystem more competitive in innovation.

Chainlink Data Feeds and Streams Boost DeFi Development

Chainlink Data Feeds and Data Streams are also integrated into the infrastructure of Sonic Labs. They provide developers with market data in low latency and verifiable form. Such data is necessary when building reliable DeFi applications. It enables developers to power dApps with precise and timely information.

The fast on-chain execution via Chainlink Data Streams enhances user experience. This makes performance comparable to that of centralized exchanges. The addition of Chainlink Data Streams and Feeds ensures scalable and reliable application development.

Sonic Labs is now part of a growing group of developers leveraging Chainlink’s decentralized Oracle network. This network offers secure and tamper-proof data solutions for decentralized applications. Aptos recently partnered with Chainlink to expand its network capabilities.

Multi-Chain Solutions with Enhanced Performance and Security

The integration of Chainlink CCIP with Sonic supports its high throughput of 10,000 transactions per second. It also guarantees sub-second finality, which is essential to make cross chain operations efficient. This feature makes it possible for Sonic to support large scale DeFi applications.

Chainlink CCIP’s design includes futureproofing that is ideal to accommodate further chainnets and token standards integration. They can transfer tokens, execute cross chain messaging, and use token programmable transfers. These functionalities make complex actions on multiple blockchains easy.

The protocol is built with a defense-in-depth security model. It uses Chainlink Decentralized Oracle Networks (DONs) to validate transactions. Each transaction is redundantly verified by multiple networks, ensuring robust security.

Chainlink’s arbitrary messaging capability enables developers to create cross-chain smart contracts. These contracts allow data to be transferred and trigger function calls on other blockchains. In addition, programmable token transfers permit tokens to carry Data Instructions. This allows for atomic cross chain actions with less complexity.

Sonic DeFAI Hackathon Unites AI and Blockchain Innovation

Sonic Labs has partnered with DoraHacks and Zerebro to launch the Sonic DeFAI Hackathon. This event hosts agents for AI blockchain technology through novel approaches to innovation. It runs for four weeks, and there are $250,000 in prizes up for grabs.
