Highlights:
- Ripple co-founder has donated another $10 million in XRP to support Harris’s campaign.
- Larsen revealed that his donation stems from spotting Harris as the right candidate to drive technological advancements, which include cryptocurrencies.
- Ripple’s CEO reacted to Larsen’s involvement in the US presidential elections, citing that everyone can support any candidate.
Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen is making headlines again for his involvement in the upcoming United States presidential elections. Just a few weeks after donating about $1 million in XRP to support Kamala Harris’s campaign, the co-founder came through again with another $10 million in XRP donation.
Larsen’s gesture initially appeared in a tweet from Teddy Schleifer. Notably, Schleifer’s October 21 post relayed the sum raised in the previous month through the Future Forward PAC, a political action committee funding Harris’ presidential ambition.
Writing on X, Schleifer noted that the PAC Future Forward raised over $100 million just last month. His tweet contained names of people with significant contributions, like Chris Larsen’s $10 million support. Other contributors include Dustin Moskovitz, with $10 million, JB Pritzker, with $5 million, and a $9 million donation from a non-profit organization labeled “Evidence for Impact.”

Larsen Reveals Reason for Backing Harris
In one of his recent tweets, Larsen quoted Schleifer’s post as he highlighted the crucial factors driving his massive support for the US Vice President. According to the co-founder, he envisages a new dimension to technological advancements, including cryptocurrencies. He added that Harris qualifies to propel such a vision.
In his exact wordings, Larsen’s tweet read thus:
“It is time for the Democrats to have a new approach to tech innovation, including crypto. I believe Kamala Harris will ensure that American technology dominates the world. Hence, I am donating $10 million in XRP to support her.”
Ripple CEO Reacts to Larsen’s $10 Million in XRP Gesture
As expected, Larsen’s involvement in the United States political landscape has attracted considerable attention within the crypto community. Interestingly, this year’s election appears unique, considering crypto enthusiasts will play significant roles in deciding who becomes the winner between Donald Trump and the present US Vice President. Notably, Trump has projected himself as a pro-crypto leader, and Harris also seems to buy such idealogy.
Hence, it is unsurprising that Larsen’s tweet attracted over 2K comments. Among the responses under his tweet, Ripple’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bread Garlinghouse’s comment has been trending with over 185K views and 600 comments. Per Garlinghouse, everyone, including Larsen, has the right to support whosoever they think will lead the US best.
However, he believes an administration that has consistently waged war on crypto does not deserve to assume power. “Ripple will continue to engage with Democrats and Republicans in the final days of the campaigns (and after the election) to promote pro-crypto policies. It’s not about party lines; it’s about championing policies that drive blockchain and crypto innovation,” the CEO added.
I respect Chris’ (and everyone’s!) right to support whomever they think is best to lead the U.S.
We need to immediately change course from this administration’s misguided war on crypto.
Ripple will continue to engage with both Democrats and Republicans in the final days of…

Trump Remains Ahead as Harris’ Odds of Winning on Polymarket Continues to Drop
Despite enjoying overwhelming support, leading prediction outlet Polymarket revealed that Harris’s odds of winning the November 5 election seem to drop every day. When writing, Polymarket’s official website statistics disclosed 63.9% as Trump’s winning odds against 36.1% for Harris.
While Polymarket statistics might predict a favorable outing for Trump, the truth remains that the crypto community is divided in their choice, evidenced by Schleifer’s tweet. It is left to see how events unfold, which could potentially usher in a new dawn for the crypto community.
