From the broader market, the White House cryptocurrency summit is the main catalyst. Yesterday, during the summit, President Trump said that the US was looking to buy a large amount of cryptocurrencies for its strategic reserve. He also asked the legislative arm of government to fast-track the passing of the CLARITY Act. The summit specifically favored HYPE because the President mentioned Hyperliquid. 

He said that the CFTC was working on bringing Hyperliquid to the United States in a way that is legal and fully compliant with regulations. This is a big deal for Hyperliquid both in the short and long term. In the short term, expectations for such a move by the CFTC could trigger FOMO, sending HYPE to new highs. In the long term, this means Hyperliquid is set to gain access to one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency markets. The fundamental boost this could give Hyperliquid could see it trade at prices above $200 in the foreseeable future.

For the second time this year, Hyperliquid’s daily buyback has surpassed $5M (first time was 6 months ago in February).

Technical Analysis – Hyperliquid Price Targets Resistance as Bulls Take Control

After a parabolic price rally over the last 24 hours, HYPE now has the $74.42 resistance in focus. If bulls are strong enough to push HYPE through the $74.42 resistance, a short-term rally to new highs, potentially at $100, could follow.

However, if bulls fail at the $74.42 resistance, two scenarios could come into play. The first is a possible consolidation below the $74.42 resistance. The second is when bears take control and push Hyperliquid price back to the $52.05 support level. Of these scenarios, a rally to $100 is more likely. This is due to the rising bullish momentum across the market and HYPE-specific factors.
