- Crypto analyst Ali Martinez warns Bitcoin could fall to $73,000, Ethereum to $2,000, and XRP to $1.
- Binance reported a $6.3 billion security breach and froze about $3 billion in affected crypto assets.
- The market sell-off caused $1.53 billion in liquidations, with Bitcoin, BNB, Solana, and Dogecoin falling.
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and XRP could fall further after a $6.3 billion security breach at Binance triggered a sharp sell-off in the crypto market. Crypto analyst Ali Martinez has identified $73,000 for Bitcoin, $2,000 for Ethereum, and $1 for XRP as potential buying levels if prices continue falling.
In an October 30 thread on X, Martinez shared his technical analysis of the three cryptocurrencies. He warned that the market could face more selling pressure after reports of the Binance hack unsettled investors.
Bitcoin Price Faces $73,000 Support After Market Sell-Off
According to Martinez, Bitcoin failed to break above its 50-day moving average, which tracks its average price over the past 50 days. The resistance pushed Bitcoin down toward $78,000. The analyst is now watching the 200-day moving average near $73,000. He believes buyers could step in around that level if Bitcoin continues to fall. In his October 30 post, he said he would consider buying Bitcoin near $73,000 rather than during the current sell-off.
3/6 As those reports spread, Bitcoin was rejected after retesting its 50-day moving average as resistance and fell toward $78,000.
The next level I’m watching is the 200-day moving average near $73,000. That’s where I plan to reassess a $BTC dip buy. pic.twitter.com/bYQ0UDVCS7

Bitcoin briefly fell toward $76,000 during the market decline before recovering some losses. The wider downturn also affected Ethereum, XRP, and other major cryptocurrencies. Martinez did not describe $73,000 as a guaranteed bottom. Instead, he identified it as a price level where buyers might return.
Ethereum Could Fall to $2,000 as XRP Faces $1 Support
Martinez also warned that Ethereum could fall toward $2,000 after breaking below a right-angled ascending broadening pattern on its daily chart. The pattern shows widening price swings as the market moves higher. A break below its lower boundary can signal further weakness. The analyst identified $2,000 as a potential support level where buyers might step in if ETH continues declining.
For XRP, Martinez pointed to a parallel trading channel that has guided its price since February. During the market sell-off, XRP recently broke below the channel’s middle support level. If XRP fails to recover that support, Martinez expects a deeper correction toward the channel’s lower boundary near $1.
In the final post of his thread, he clarified:
“Those are levels where I’ll look for support; not guaranteed bottoms.”
Binance Hack Triggers Crypto Sell-Off and $1.5 Billion in Liquidations
The market decline followed reports of a major security breach at Binance. According to an October 30 report, the exchange estimated the incident’s impact at $6.3 billion. Binance said the attack may have started through a compromised employee laptop. The company has frozen around $3 billion in affected assets with help from blockchain partners.
It also suspended withdrawals for security checks and promised to cover user losses. Deposits continue to operate normally. The incident added pressure to the wider cryptocurrency market. According to CoinGlass data, traders faced about $1.55 billion in liquidations over 24 hours. Around $1.29 billion came from leveraged positions betting on higher prices.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading near $77,9000, down 2.6% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum stood at $2,225, down 3.5%, while XRP traded near $1.25, down 3%.

Other major altcoins also recorded losses. BNB traded near $704, down 6%, while Solana (SOL) fell 2.5% to $97.21. Cardano (ADA) declined 3.11% to $0.192, and Dogecoin (DOGE) dropped 2.9% to around $0.075. DeFi tokens also faced selling pressure, with Aave (AAVE) and Uniswap (UNI) both falling more than 10% earlier in the sell-off.
