Highlights:
- Wyoming is using Chainlink Proof of Reserve to give users a clearer view of the assets backing FRNT.
- Wyoming already publishes daily FRNT reserve reports, while the new system adds direct onchain verification.
- The state also plans Secure Mint to prevent new FRNT issuance unless sufficient verified reserves are available.
Wyoming has added Chainlink Proof of Reserve (PoR) to its Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT. The new system will help users verify the assets backing the state-issued digital token almost in real time. The Wyoming Stable Token Commission announced the integration with Chainlink on September 2. According to the official release, the state wants to improve transparency around FRNT reserves and give users clearer information about the token’s backing.
Wyoming launched FRNT in January 2026 as the first stable token issued by a U.S. state. FRNT is backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasuries. Wyoming already publishes daily reports on these reserves. Chainlink Proof of Reserve will now add another layer of verification directly on the blockchain.

Chainlink Brings FRNT Reserve Data Onchain
Under the new system, The Network Firm will review FRNT reserves and its circulating supply. Chainlink will then send the verified data to the blockchain. This process will allow users and institutions to check reserve information more often. They will not have to depend only on traditional reports or monthly updates.
The commission said its current reserve reporting already goes beyond the minimum requirements under the U.S. GENIUS Act. The law requires stablecoin issuers to disclose reserve information every month. Wyoming, however, publishes FRNT reserve attestations every day.
Anthony Apollo, executive director of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, said:
“By adopting Chainlink Proof of Reserve as Wyoming’s exclusive onchain asset verification infrastructure, we’re providing transparent, verifiable confirmation that the Frontier Stable Token is fully backed by high-quality reserve assets.”
The integration also follows Wyoming’s earlier use of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol. The protocol allows FRNT to move across different blockchain networks.
Wyoming Plans Secure Mint Protection
Wyoming also plans to add Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint to FRNT. Secure Mint connects token creation with verified reserve levels. New FRNT tokens can only enter circulation when enough reserve assets are available to support them.
The feature can also reduce the risk of unauthorized token creation. In an infinite-mint attack, an attacker creates more tokens than the system should allow. Secure Mint can help stop that by checking reserve levels before new tokens are issued.
The planned feature would give FRNT another protection layer while keeping its supply linked to real assets. Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, said Wyoming’s use of Chainlink shows how governments can use blockchain technology for transparent financial systems.
Wyoming Expands Its Digital Asset Strategy
Wyoming launched FRNT as part of its wider push into digital assets and blockchain-based payments. The state created the Wyoming Stable Token Commission under the Wyoming Stable Token Act. The commission manages FRNT and oversees its reserve structure. Revenue earned from the assets backing FRNT may also support Wyoming’s School Foundation Program. The reserves include cash and short-term U.S. Treasury securities.
With Chainlink Proof of Reserve, Wyoming can now combine traditional reserve reviews with blockchain-based verification. The planned Secure Mint integration could take the system further by connecting FRNT issuance directly with confirmed reserve levels.
