The 45th President of the United States and presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump, is set to speak at the upcoming Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee, the conference organizer announced Wednesday.
The event, one of the world’s largest Bitcoin conferences, will be held from July 25 to 27. Trump is scheduled to deliver his speech on July 27, 2024, at 2 PM on the main stage, which will be livestreamed globally on the Bitcoin Conference’s official accounts, a spokesman for the conference told CoinDesk.

Trump to Make Historic Address at Bitcoin Conference
The announcement follows Trump’s public support for the American Bitcoin industry. This will be the first time a US president addresses the global Bitcoin community, marking a historic moment for the Bitcoin industry. Trump has promised to support the Bitcoin industry if re-elected in the November 2024 election. Currently, there are about 50 million American Bitcoin investors, many of whom are single-issue voters.
David Bailey, CEO of BTC Inc., the organizer of the Bitcoin Conference, stated:
“Today’s announcement that the former and future President of the United States will be addressing the global Bitcoin community is a recognition of Bitcoin’s adoption and progress towards that original vision. This will be the most consequential political event in Bitcoin’s history and a defining cultural moment for our society.”
Besides Trump, other US politicians, including presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, will also share their insights at the event. The event expects over 20,000 attendees from over 2,300 businesses, making it the world’s largest gathering of Bitcoin investors, companies, and enthusiasts.
Trump’s Crypto Support Boosts Odds of Winning Presidential Election
In recent months, the presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee has strongly supported the blockchain and crypto industry. Last month, at an event at Mar-a-Lago, Trump stated his intention to advocate for bitcoin mining if elected president. In May, he began accepting political donations in cryptocurrencies. His stance has garnered support from notable figures in the crypto industry, including Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss and Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood.
Moreover, The Republican Party, led by Trump, unveiled a new platform emphasizing strong support for the crypto industry. The party aims to halt Democrats’ crypto crackdown and oppose creating a CBDC.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden’s campaign has been contacting crypto industry members for advice on digital asset policies. However, no major announcements on crypto or blockchain have been made yet. Users on the decentralized prediction market Polymarket currently forecast a 62% chance that Trump will win the upcoming November presidential election, while Biden has only a 14% chance.
Chamber of Progress Urges Joe Biden to Back Crypto
In a Tuesday letter, the US tech group Chamber of Progress urged President Joe Biden to support clear crypto regulations, noting that Trump has taken advantage of the administration’s lack of clarity. The group suggested that supporting a ‘crypto-friendly digital assets policy’ could boost Biden’s popularity among younger voters. They pointed out that over 50% of Gen Z and Millennial voters favor federal policies that promote digital asset use in the US.
