- Strategy has transferred over 1,000 Bitcoin tokens to six new wallet addresses.
- The transfers come a few days after the treasury firm announced the sale of 1,638 BTC for $104.7 million.
- Bitcoin’s price remains below $65,000 despite recording a slight increase in the past 24 hours.
Wallets linked to Strategy, the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin (BTC) holder, reportedly moved 1,030 BTC worth roughly $66.14 million into new wallet addresses through a series of internal transfers. On-chain crypto transactions firm Lookonchain tracked and reported the token transfer in an X post on Wednesday.
Blockchain records showed that the transactions involved six separate Bitcoin movements, which are worth more than the figure reported by Lookonchain. They include 330.664 BTC, 299.843 BTC, 276.648 BTC, 219.555 BTC, 106.65 BTC, and 96.74 BTC. Each of these transfers was worth about $21.23 million, $18.91 million, $17.76 million, $14.09 million, $6.85 million, and $6.21 million, respectively.
Overall, the blockchain record showed that Strategy transferred 1,330.1 Bitcoin tokens valued at approximately $85.05 million to the new wallet addresses. The record also showed that Strategy received similar volumes of the transferred BTC from Anchorage Digital a few months ago.

Based on the type of transactions, the transfer appears to be an internal movement of funds rather than a sale. It is different from some of Strategy’s recent Bitcoin transactions, which involved crypto exchanges and over-the-counter (OTC) platforms.
Meanwhile, the transfers come a few days after the company raised its USD reserve to $4 billion by selling 1,638 BTC for $104.7 million during the week ending on August 2. The sale lowered Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings to 842,138 BTC worth roughly $63.51 billion at an average cost of $75,419 per token.
Strategy’s Bitcoin Wallet Activities Continue to Draw Market Watchers’ Attention
Strategy seems to have increased its Bitcoin wallet activities in August. On August 3, a Bitcoin wallet linked to Strategy moved 299.84 BTC worth $18.91 million to an address that has previously sent Bitcoin to Galaxy Digital, Binance, and Coinbase. A similar transfer took place before Strategy sold about $216 million worth of Bitcoin in July.

Around late last month, the Bitcoin treasury firm stated that it would no longer treat its Bitcoin holdings as untouchable assets. This does not mean that it no longer believes in Bitcoin’s long-term reward potential. However, the company is open to selling portions of its Bitcoin holdings to improve its financial position.
During its latest earnings call, Strategy’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Phong Le spoke extensively about the company’s Bitcoin monetization program. He highlighted three key areas that will benefit from Bitcoin sales.
The President stated:
“We intend to sell Bitcoin for three reasons. One, fund the U.S. dollar reserve up to $5 billion. Two, fund dividend interest payments of $1.76 billion annually. Three, to fund up to $2 billion in our repurchase programs. Let’s talk a little bit more about Bitcoin monetization and Bitcoin sales.”
