Highlights:
- Quantum Solutions sold 1,000 ETH for $1.903 million to fund AI infrastructure.
- Holdings fell to 4,764.80 ETH after two sales totaling 1,904 ETH.
- Management raised the authorized sale ceiling to 4,375 ETH through October 30.
Japan-listed Quantum Solutions sold 1,000 ETH for $1.9 million on July 30. The company is now planning to channel more capital toward artificial intelligence infrastructure and data center projects.
Quantum Solutions Shifts Capital Toward AI Infrastructure
GPT Pals Studio, its Hong Kong subsidiary, completed the sale at an average price of $1,903 per ETH. The transaction generated about $1.903 million, equal to roughly ¥311 million. Meanwhile, management expects a realized loss near $100,970, or about ¥17 million.
The loss reflects the difference between the sale price and Ethereum’s latest carrying value. At the end of May, the company valued each ETH at about $2,003.97. Therefore, the accounting loss differs from the gap against its original purchase costs.
Quantum Solutions plans to use the proceeds across its AI Infrastructure and Data Center business. The funds will support data center deposits, GPU systems, networking equipment, launch costs, and working capital. Additionally, the company has discussed a Japanese data center project with Hong Kong-based Integrated Capital.
That agreement remains nonbinding and lacks final financing terms. However, the plan shows a clear change in capital allocation. The company now gives its computing business greater priority than further crypto accumulation.

Ethereum Holdings Fall After Two Large Sales
The latest transaction follows a 904 ETH sale completed on June 16. That disposal raised about $1.606 million at an average price near $1,777.07. Together, both transactions reduced the treasury by 1,904 ETH within seven weeks. Before those sales, the company held 6,668.80 ETH. Its remaining balance now stands at 4,764.80 ETH, worth $9.2 million at recent prices. As a result, its holdings have declined by almost 29% since mid-June.
The reduction also changed Japan’s corporate Ethereum rankings. Def Consulting holds about 4,976 ETH, according to treasury tracking data. Therefore, Quantum Solutions no longer leads publicly traded Japanese companies in disclosed ETH holdings.
However, the company controls a sizable digital asset position. It has not announced a full Ethereum exit. Instead, future transactions will depend on funding needs, market conditions, and data center progress. The company built most of its treasury during late last year. Ethereum then traded far above current levels during the broader crypto rally. As a result, recent disposals occurred during a much weaker market.
Higher Sale Limit Leaves Room for More Divestments
Management also raised the group-wide ETH sale limit from 1,875 ETH to 4,375 ETH. After selling 1,904 ETH, the company can still dispose of another 2,471 ETH. The expanded authority runs through October 30, 2026.
Most remaining ETH also supports an earlier loan arrangement. The company has pledged 3,050 ETH to a Singapore-based financial services lender. Meanwhile, GPT Pals holds another 1,714.80 ETH inside its trading account. Therefore, the unused sale authority exceeds the unpledged balance by 756.20 ETH. Collateral may be required prior to the utilization of the full authorization. Alternatively, it may replace pledged assets or find another funding mechanism.
Quantum’s shift follows a similar move by ETHZilla, which sold 24,291 ETH for about $74.5 million in December last year. The company used the proceeds to repay secured convertible debt after its share price weakened. In February, ETHZilla abandoned its Ethereum treasury strategy and rebranded as Forum Markets, focusing instead on tokenized real-world assets.
