Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP are showing fresh buy signals after sharp price declines, according to crypto analyst Ali Martinez. The signals suggest that selling pressure may be easing and that the three cryptocurrencies could see a short-term recovery.
Martinez shared the analysis on October 8, 2026. He said the TD Sequential indicator had flashed buy signals on the four-hour charts of all three assets. The indicator tracks price movements to identify possible trend reversals. However, buyers still need to confirm the signals before a rebound becomes more likely.
Bitcoin Shows Buy Signal After Recent Price Drop
Bitcoin price fell 5.55% from $86,976 on October 5 to $82,150 on October 8. Following the decline, the TD Sequential indicator issued a buy signal on BTC’s four-hour chart. Martinez believes the recent pullback could be approaching its end. However, the signal alone does not confirm that Bitcoin has bottomed out.
The TD Sequential looks for signs that an ongoing price trend may be losing strength. A buy signal can appear after several periods of falling prices, suggesting that selling momentum could weaken. Meanwhile, Bitcoin price was trading near $83,000, down approximately 0.64% over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap data. A sustained recovery would better support Martinez’s outlook. However, continued selling could delay the expected rebound.

Ethereum Could Rebound to $2,650 as XRP Follows
Ethereum has also recorded a four-hour TD Sequential buy signal after falling 7.36% from $2,738 to $2,537. Martinez identified two possible recovery targets for ETH. If buying pressure strengthens, Ethereum could first move toward $2,620. A further recovery could then bring $2,650 into focus.
3/5 Ethereum is showing a similar setup.
After $ETH dropped 7.36% from $2,738 to $2,537, the TD Sequential flashed a four-hour buy signal.

These levels remain potential targets, not confirmed price movements. Ethereum would need renewed buying interest to recover from its recent losses. At the time of reporting, Ethereum was trading around $2,565, down 1.3% in 24 hours.
XRP is showing a similar technical setup. Martinez said the cryptocurrency flashed a four-hour buy signal after its price declined from $1.53 to $1.39. Interestingly, an earlier TD Sequential sell signal appeared close to XRP’s recent local high. The analyst is now watching whether the latest buy signal will coincide with a short-term bottom.
Unlike Ethereum, Martinez did not provide a specific upside price target for XRP. XRP was trading near $1.41, down about 2.6% in 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.
Bitcoin Demand Improves Despite Falling Price
Meanwhile, on-chain analyst Darkfost reported improving Bitcoin demand on October 8, even as BTC price continued to face selling pressure. According to CryptoQuant data shared by Darkfost, total Bitcoin demand had returned to positive territory, exceeding 14,000 BTC.
Futures demand remained relatively stable at an average of 32,000 BTC. Meanwhile, spot demand improved significantly, reaching negative 17,000 BTC compared with negative 207,000 BTC on September 20. Spot demand reflects buying and selling activity involving actual Bitcoin, rather than futures contracts.
Although spot demand remains negative, the improvement suggests that market conditions have become less weak than in September. Darkfost described the combination of falling prices and improving demand as a positive setup. The demand recovery adds another factor to watch alongside Martinez’s technical signals. However, neither indicator guarantees an immediate rally. Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP still need stronger buying activity to support a sustained price recovery.
While many only watch Bitcoin's price action, I continue to track the evolution of demand.
It has improved markedly in recent days, particularly spot demand.
