Alchemy Acquires DexterLab to Strengthen Solana Web3 Infrastructure

Highlights:

  • Alchemy has bought DexterLab to boost Solana tools and serve growing Web3 demand from enterprise developers.
  • Solana has seen more active users and transactions than Ethereum, which increases the need for fast data services.
  • Alchemy has added full Solana support through DexterLab integration.

Alchemy, a Web3 development platform, has acquired DexterLab to improve support for Web3 applications. The purchase aims to fulfill the growing demand for Solana-based tools and services by businesses. It also aims to reduce development complexity for teams working across both Solana and Ethereum.

DexterLab offers real-time data services and tools tailored to the network’s high throughput. According to Alchemy, the companies started working together nearly six months ago. That early collaboration led to a full acquisition.

Alchemy plans to use its engineering skills in partnership with DexterLab to build new Solana infrastructure. Minulescu, the engineering lead at Alchemy, noted that the new collaboration will make it easier for Alchemy to expand its Solana services and develop them more quickly. He added that this step will allow both teams to accelerate their shared goals for the ecosystem.

Solana Activity Grows as Alchemy Acquires DexterLab

Solana has seen increased usage across several network metrics in recent months. The blockchain recorded over 210 million active addresses in the past three months. By contrast, Ethereum and its Layer 2 chains had just under 80 million combined during that time.

The rise in numbers demonstrates how attractive Solana is to developers looking for speed and affordability. Pump.fun and similar projects are attracting interest due to the great performance of the network. The growing number of users means more people are needing scalable infrastructure. DexterLab offers what is needed for growing websites and active platforms.

The Solana Virtual Machine produces around 1 terabyte of data on a daily basis. Handling such a huge amount of data is usually a challenge for traditional tools. DexterLab solves these problems by giving access to real-time APIs and infrastructure that is fast and has little delay. Its systems support the Solana mainnet, rollups, and sidechains that run on the network.

The company uses global data centers to reduce response times and improve reliability. This setup allows enterprise clients and developers to access fast and stable data. Chainstack and other large clients already use DexterLab’s services for Solana development. These features made it a key partner for growing Solana-based platforms.

Alchemy Expands Beyond Ethereum with Solana Capabilities

Alchemy previously focused on Ethereum and EVM-compatible blockchains. This acquisition signals a shift toward broader multichain support. The goal is to serve developers building on several networks at once.

The company’s platform includes software development kits, validator support, and debugging tools. Now, these resources will extend to Solana as well. For this reason, businesses can launch and expand their operations more easily on Ethereum and Solana. Alchemy will operate consistently across multiple Layer 1 networks.

Integrating DexterLab into Alchemy allows it to provide better support for high-growth real-world platforms used by individuals and businesses. Developers will have access to resources that match the fast and data-friendly nature of Solana. As a result, Alchemy will serve a larger number of companies and projects.
