Assassination Attempt Incident
During a rally in Pennsylvania, someone fired shots approximately ten minutes into Trump’s speech. Trump sustained an injury to his right ear, with visible blood on his face, while Secret Service agents swiftly moved to escort him to safety. Despite the injury, Trump was seen pumping his fist in the air.

Trump’s campaign confirmed that the former president did not suffer any major injuries apart from the one to his upper right ear. Unfortunately, the incident resulted in the death of a spectator and critically injured two others. The Secret Service shot and killed the suspect.
Just days before Trump was set to accept the formal Republican nomination at the Republican National Convention, someone attempted to assassinate him. It is the first such attempt on a U.S. president or major party candidate since Ronald Reagan in 1981.

In response to the incident, Trump posted on his Truth Social platform, emphasizing unity and resilience. “In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined and not allowing Evil to Win.” President Joe Biden condemned the violence, stating, “There’s no place for this kind of violence in America.”
In the aftermath, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Tron founder Justin Sun endorsed Trump for President. Musk expressed his support on X, wishing Trump a speedy recovery. Sun echoed Musk’s sentiments, highlighting Trump’s potential positive impact on the crypto industry. Tron founder Justin Sun has also made moves that mirror Musk’s actions, including showing interest in purchasing Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.
